It was a cold night, the type of cold to get into a cat's bones and the creamy tom, with only half a tail found he was unable to sleep so he left his mate curled up in their shared nest, before moving to the makeshift den's entrance. He came to a halt there, gazing out into the camp, all seemed quiet, all seemed peaceful despite how close they were getting to the homeland that they were going to reclaim for the rightful heir, himself and his family. His thoughts wandered to Reni, she had been distant towards him lately especially since the whole incident with Rhaegar though even before that incident she had taken after her missing sister in giving him the cold treatment of an outsider. He was doing everything he could in ensuring she had a bright future, in ensuring she had a position of power despite her gender and despite what Bloodraven had done, yet with every action he took to gain a better future he felt as if he was only pushing her further away. He moved throughout the makeshift camp, taking in the small groups of patrolling guards and noting how they greeted him with respectful nods. He peered up towards the sky, noting it was clear of clouds and the stars seemed to glitter in a delightful manner high above his head. It was as he stood there gazing skywards that he recalled a time back in Windclan sitting beneath the stars alongside his albino sibling listening as the clan leaders announced clan news beneath a full moon at the gathering.
Those times seemed so long ago, the times of not quite belonging where he had grown up, the times where he had a sibling who he could rely on, who he bickered with yes but who was still his greatest ally and then his violet gaze dropped to his cream paws, he could not think of this now, not when he was so close. Not when he knew what lay ahead, his half brother was going to have to die for his family to be safe, as were all his son's and he knew it was what Bloodraven deserved, for it was his albino sibling who had brought about all the evil which had befallen his family. Distantly he heard paw steps and looked up, away from his paws. Blackfyre found his violet gaze upon one of his own cats, a grey tom whose pelt was littered with flecks of ginger, a scar down the right side of his face and bright yellow eyes "Does it seem a little too quiet to you sir?" The tom asked and Blackfyre stared at the tom in confusion, the night was just peaceful, wasn't it? At the tom's words he began to notice that the howling of the wind was all he could hear, their were no animals scurrying about in the woodlands beyond the camp like normal and even as he opened his mouth to give a command the tom was calling"Thace! Ulaz, Antok! Prepare yourselves!"
Blackfyre had no idea who the tom was calling too in the darkness, he just felt his sense of foreboding growing as he followed after the tom back to the guards position he had left to speak with him. Blackfyre found himself among four of his warriors, one of whom had been the tom who had approached him and he guessed they were the cats he had called to moments before. It was then one of the tom's murmured"That mist in the outskirts of the camp... its moving to fast to be fog... Kolivan, remember the fall of Red's band?" Blackfyre turned his gaze in the direction the tom indicated and swore, before moving towards the fog that he was pretty certain was actually smoke. It was the minute that he turned his back that something struck him from behind and he fell to the ground, into the welcome darkness of unconsciousness.Blackfyre
Their plan was going well, the band led by Blackfyre was so unsuspecting of attack that when they stealthily entered the camp to set up the distraction no one had noticed them and now the cats within the cats were being lured to their destruction as one by one they fell beneath their claws. The creamy leader was proud of what had been accomplished, the plan he had come up with was working and he slid into the enemies camp, following his warriors in, knowing that the camp had pretty much fallen already without his warriors having a single drop of their blood spilt. The guards had all been incapacitated in some form or other, now they just had to deal with those who lay sleeping in the dens and while some of his force began entering den's, the sounds of shocked, terrified cries began to rise into the night sky. Breakspear remained back in the ranks, with the warriors guarding the prisoners already taken, he searched the unconscious or binded prisoners for specific ones, noting the vine bindings were well done upon all the prisoners so far. The number of prisoners was only growing and his victory was so close now, his violet eyes glittered in the starlight.
The dark golden Valence lead forth the warriors entering den's, they were none to gentle with the cats within each den, rudely interrupting their sleep with incapacitating blows to the head and if the cats showed any sign of being awake following the blows to the head their throats were cut, Valence had no patience to deal with troublemakers. Then they reached the den Blackfyre had vacated and came across a she-cat they recognized from their past. Valence had entered the den quietly, when a dark shadow had detached itself from the back of the den with a cry and the dark golden tom noted the other cat had a nasty looking gash to his face, to the side of his neck, clearly he had somehow managed to escape an earlier attack. Now the black tom with white paws was trying to protect the she-cat whose pale violet eyes flashed open at his cry and she began to rise to her paws, but even as the black tom lunged for him Valence was dancing aside, light on his paws blue eyes focused. The black tom tried to follow, but now their were more entering the den and the moment his back was turned to go after Valence he was seized, forced into the ground.
Valence flicked his golden tail, one of the other cat's in the den unsheathed their claws, approaching the held down black tom even as Valence approached the now rather frightened she-cat who had pressed her back up against the back of the den, violet eyes wide, fangs bared. But as she saw the claws heading towards the black tom she cried out"No! Don't hurt him! I'll come willingly if you don't harm him! Otherwise I'll fight to the bitter end!" At that Valence smiled, before responding mockingly"That would be a sight to see, you weren't a good fighter before and now your pregnant... I bet you'd do no more than stumble about helplessly.... But I'll take you up on your word..." With a flick of his tail the claws were stayed and he indicated for her to move forwards where she was flanked by two more cat's, then Dany was lead away, wide eyed and frightened. Those who remained moved on to further den's, continuing their workBreakspear & Valence
He had been with his brother Hasan when they had come under attack, they had both managed to escape their attackers, vanishing into the maze of dens. It was Owein who was the one to tell his brother to go to the leader's den, to warn Blackfyre and Dany that they were under attack. He had decided to go to Reni's den, to protect and alert her to the danger. Behind him he could hear the quiet movements of their enemies behind him and he knew he was going to be hard pushed to beat them to Reni with his age old limp but try he did. He ignored the familiar pain lacing up his left foreleg and forced himself on through the maze of den's. Then he was bursting into Reni's den hissing under his breath"Reni! Wake up! The camp is under attack, I fear it has already fallen... You need to get out of-" He cut off at the sound of movement outside, his white pelt splattered with cream prickling nervously as he moved further into the den, taking a defensive position between Reni and the den entrance.
It was in this moment two cat's moved into the den's entrance, Owein didn't know either of them but he noted their pelts were golden cream, one had pale violet eyes, the other stormy, blue and neither of them looked very friendly silhouetted in the den's entrance. Owein dropped into a defensive crouch, pelt bristling, fangs bared, the creamy tom with pale violet eyes dropped into a crouch also, preparing to spring forwards to meet him. But the golden, cream tom with storm, blue eyes stepped in front of his comrade giving a soft command"Wait Zeius..." Before speaking calmly, gently even too both Reni and Owein"Stand down, there is no need for bloodshed... The camp is already lost, to fight here would be pointless..."
Owein
