Ok, the Skyclan patrol has returned you can post with your skyclan cats also remember this thread is a site plot thread, so link your post and it will get added to the post count and we will be one paw-step closer to the rewards. so without a further a do lets get to it..

Frecklewhisker;



They came to the land that began to smell like home relief went threw the tired group. frecklewhisker was at the rear of the group the whole group had stayed quiet most of the trip after thunderecho had discussed that stoneclan had some involvement, in the kitnapping. she looked down towards the two young apprentices stormpaw... frecklewhisker sighed tiredly looking up to the sky feeling a little uneasy. what she would have to tell stonestar. shaking her head she was given a job and she had chosen..


Flicking her ears she saw the group now stepped across the clan borders she felt a little more relieved at this site on home ground even though she was not skyclan blood she was to born to be skyclanner from the begging. she looked at her patrol and started to order things into order for when the y get to camp. all cats had to get checked. she gave echovalor the order to set up extra patrols while she talked to stonestar after echovalor was checked. she looked at her group whom would she send to let the clan know they all looked buggered. suddenly rustles came from a bush at her side the patrol had been quiet in coming over the border. she tiredly jumped into defense. her blue orbs flicked seeing green eyes fixed on her in half shock. the green orbs flicked to the group his eyes widened a little then looked back to her frecklewhisker tiredly rose to her paws sheathing her claws. looking at the tom mewing her orders " faintbark run to camp, get ripetide ready inform stonestar we are back.." at her tired order the tom nodded and bounded away. frecklewhisker blinked well that solved one problem. she turned to her patorl mewing hew orders to every cat. " when we get to camp every cat gets checked i don't want no brave hearts, including you two icepaw and stormpaw" she looekd to the two young cats before looking to lionessfang to continue on her pace. faintbark would be reaching the clan shortly to inform them they were coming in..




Faintbark;


The tom ran to his speedy best torning on threw the camp enterance his silentness died away as he dived straight for the medicine den looking inside it his rough tomly mew informing riptide " riptide!! the patrol is back you have a lot of patients!! i suggest you get some extra gets to help you." at that he did not waste a moment rushing off to the leaders den he was silent for a moment before pushing threw dipping his head. " stonestar, they have returned, icepaw in paw, but many are wounded i informed riptide, im taking a few cat with me to help the stragglers. he waited a moment before dipping his white brown head, before turning in the dust out the den looking around the camp, spotting a few cats, he called out their names, "reflectionlake, velvetfire,belle come" he mewed swishing his tail before heading for the entereance, without a second look back he went running a few paces before threw the undergrowth he found them, instantly he took the first cat, lionnessfang, shouldering her letting her put her weight upon him , he flicked his ears as they neared the clan entrance, by the looks of lionessfang faintbark was safe to say she had fought more than she could handle, he looked forward using his tail to life a branch up out off lionessfangs way. he had prepared the important cats of the patrols return though he saw most of the clan about so he hoped cats wouldn't demand answers out of the poor patrol.

[Fleet]

The white tom with four black paws had been busy sorting through his herbs, his white tail flicking to and fro. The voices in his head continued to whisper to him as he worked, nipping at him and telling him of a dark threat which awaited round every corner. His white pelt prickled wildly and then he slammed a white paw into his den's wall hissing"Silence! How can I think with all this racket!" At his words the voiced died down to the sound no louder than a breath of wind at the back of his mind. It was then his lime, green eye fell upon the herbs piled before him and realized he had just pulled herbs together as if preparing to treat cats who had just been in a battle. He frowned, tilting his head as he asked himself"Why an earth-" He was cut off by the sound of approaching paws, he twisted round, both his blind icy blue eye and lime, green eye gazing coldly upon the cat who stood in his den's entrance. His claws half slid out and for a moment he wanted to attack the cat who dared enter his den and threaten him. But after a moment he realized Faintbare was not about to attack him, he was telling him something important and his white head tilted to one side at the warriors words. Then Faintbark was gone, frantically heading towards the leader's den and the medicine cat looked towards the herbs he had pulled down as he spoke softly to himself"Its like you knew they were coming...." Sometimes the voices in his head were not entirely useless.

Sensing the softening of his resolve the voices grew louder a frustrated snarl escaped him as he snapped"I said silence! I have work to do..." The voices faded to background noise once again, he grabbed the bundle of herbs and padded out his den ready to treat the wounded. His mis-matched eyes narrowing to slits as Faintbark called for his mother to come help and he hissed"No, Belle... Stay in the Nursery... Your kits are due any day now... I will not have you leaving that den where birthing is to happen for a second!" He watched his mother roll her lime, green gaze at his words, but for once she obeyed him and instead slowly laid down in the den's entrance her lime, green gaze flicking over the returning cats as she searched for any sign of her best friend. Turning towards the warriors den Riptide called to his other siblings"Timesky! Owlspring! Come help me see to these wounded warriors!" His white and black sister was first to emerge, her small size making her look like an apprentice, but the she-cat was full grown. She moved swiftly over to join him and he spoke to her handing her some dock leaves"Chew these leaves and apply them upon the patrols cuts when they arrive... You and Timesky can check the minor wounds, leave any serious looking wounds to me..." His sister nodded, her navy blue gaze solemn and began to chew up the dock leaves so that they were ready to apply.

Lionessfang

The trip home had been uneventful, the patrol limping home as fast as her three injured limbs would allow. They had stopped briefly to rest, eat, and slap cobwebs over the worst of the bleeding, but it had been far more important to get the apprentices home before the rogues tried another ambush.

They crossed the border, and Lioness felt her Clanmates relax slightly, now they were back on familiar ground. Then Frecklewhisker hissed, and a face appeared out of the foliage. Despite the pain and her fatigue, Lioness centered all four of her paws and drew her muzzle back to snarl warningly, only to recognise the warrior that had surpised them. Instantly she regretted using her four paws, and as they set off again in Faintbark's wake she found her front legs especially did not want to bear her weight.

Barely half a heartbeat later she could hear the commotion in the camp, and then he was back, others following him, though Faintbark went straight to her first and offered his shoulder for support. For a heartbeat she was too proud to accept, and then she realised if she didnt want her face in the dirt she'd better take his help. Leaning against him it was much easier, and when they entered the camp, the rest of the patrol following, Lioness blinked at how many had gathered. She moved off to the side to be out of the way, sitting down painfully because of the shredding along one flank.

Her father Darkwing was there immediately, looking at her with concern, but she gave him a warm glance. "I'm fine, we were ambushed in the open." He father's amber eyes narrowed as he looked her over again, but she shooed him on when the Medicine Cat came over. She watched him glance towards her sister Echovalor before making a beeline for his returned apprentice Icepaw, looking like he was having trouble deciding between yelling at her and thanking the stars she was safe, though it looked like he was about to do both.

Timesky

The white semi-longfur tom emerged from the warrior's den at his brother's call, following his sister Owlspring out at a much slower pace, his bright yet dark blue eyes scanning the camp's scene before him. His ears flicked at his brother's instructions, but then his gaze fell on his best friend, Thunderecho, and without further thought he grabbed several dock leaves and bounded over to the blue-black tom, his tail flicking with worry. Echo blinked at him warmly, answering his mute friend's unspoken questions as Timesky began chewing up the dock leaves for him. "I'm fine, just fell in a ditch during the fight." Timesky began smearing the dock leaf paste over the deep gash above Echo's silver-blue eyes, the concern on his face showing he wasn't convinced.

Reflectionlake

The albino she-cat dropped the blackbird she had been carrying to the nursery at Faintbark's call, following after him without hesitation. When they reached the patrol her gaze flickered around them all, noting the if-looks-could-kill expression of Lioness's face when Faintbark helped her change to one of reluctant resignation. Her own ruby eyes glinting, she made a point of ignoring the deputy, hopping over instead to her cousin Echovalor, looking the black-and-white she-cat up and down carefully before offering her furry white shoulder for support if the feisty warrior needed it. Upon entered the camp, most of the warriors had come to see the patrol return, though the majority of them seemed to be hanging back, waiting for Stonestar's arrival. Being the shy cat she was around her Clanmates, she dropped her ruby gaze that so frightened many of them to the ground, but not before she'd seen her mother Ashpool sitting not far away from Riptide. Ever since the Medicine Cat had been given his name Pool had kept clear of the Medicine Cat den, respecting the fact that she recognised as a healer no more. Yet at times like this she seemed eager to put her expert paws to use, though she'd settled enough in Clan ways to wait until Riptide asked her to help.

The scruffy black tom shied back from the rest of his Clanmates and patrol. He had felt the prickly gazes of mistrust all the way home, and he still felt them now. This trip had done nothing but make him look worse in the eyes of SkyClan. He had no friends and only memories of two dead mates to keep him here.
He saw Ashpool, sitting on the sidelines as she always did not in a medical crisis. She probably knew how he felt, living somewhere that was your home, but where a part of you was never accepted. Huffing out a small sigh, he headed towards the camp exit, thinking idly of going hunting. His wounds did not bother him compared to his inner pain and turmoil. He'd heard Frecklewhisker's orders not to play a hero by refusing Riptide's treatment, but he felt like anything but a hero. He had displayed no bravery, nothing of worth to these proud Clan cats.

Let them fuss over my wounds as if they care. I know they do not, so why bother?

He would see Stonestar later, when the dappled dark gray tabby, now exiting her den, was not so frantic with motherly worry. Maybe she, at least, would have some encouragement for him.



The leader smelled the patrol in the air and hastily exited her den, sending moss everywhere. Her kits were still safely guarded on all sides by her most trusted warriors and she barged her way in, wrapping her tail around her kits protectively. It mattered little to her why Icepaw had been out of camp alone that fateful day. StarClan knew the poor mite had likely been punished enough for several wrongdoings.

"Oh my sweet, wonderful kits,"

she mewed, nuzzling each of them in turn.

"I am so very proud of you both. I'm so glad you have come home to me."

She caught sight of Icepaw's blank yellow gaze and curled her paw protectively around her daughter, who was usually so strong and logical. Her dark navy eyes searched the crowd of cats until she found the one she sought.

"Riptide . . . do you have something for shock?"

A stupid question, but she avoided ordering the young tom around. Her respect for him ran deep, and her sharp tongue had begun to fade with her advancing age. She licked the tops of Stormpaw's and Icepaw's heads tenderly, purring to try to calm Icepaw. Stormpaw seemed remarkably unfazed, and even a little protective of her sister.
A rustling noise caught her eye and she watched Crowheart head for the camp exit. Her heart twisted. It seemed hopeless that any cat but herself would see the value in the lonely tom.

Ashsong

Being Acting Deputy for several days had been the most interesting experiance of her life. Not only was the bossy she-cat getting her chance to order the Clan around, but for once she and her sister Stonestar hadn't argued. Not once.

She emerged from the warrior's den after Timesky, the long-legged cloud-grey she-cat's eyes widening at the returned patrol. Her gaze went at once to her two nieces, and though looking shaken they seemed more or less alright. A heartbeat later and Stonestar herself was among the patrol, barely acknowledging any of the cats except her two daughters. Ashsong had to smile at the sight, before her gaze flickered across to land on Frecklewhisker. With the deputy returned, she was no longer acting deputy. She blinked slowly, not entirely unhappy to let the position go, and walked up to the patrol among others who were crowding round.

She slipped up to the patched deputy and dipped her head respectfully, and to show she was no longer holding the position the leader had given her. "It's good to see you back, Frecklewhisker."

Her silver- blue gaze flickered across the rest of the patrol, widening in surprise as she spotted Crowheart turning away and heading back towards the entrance, ignoring his scratches and the voices of his Clanmates. She would have let him go, except for the fact he looked so alone. Without her sisters Tempestpaw and Cloversplash, he seemed to have little reason to stay with the Clan.

Curling her plumed tail, the pretty she-cat decided she couldn't let her sisters' lost love think he was unwanted. She ducked across to join him, laying her tail across his shoulders to stop him going any further. "Hey, where do you think you're going? Riptide needs to see those scratches, and you can bet there'll be a feast of celebration tonight." Adding emphasis to her words, Breezesoul was charging out of camp with a delighted yowl, Ravenflight and several other hunters hot on his heels. No doubt her brother Breezesoul would find the biggest, juiciest Newleaf squirrel for the returned apprentices. "Come on, come sit over here with me until Riptide comes to see you."

(OOC- My internets down, so I am typing this post up without being able to refer to anything, so if I miss anything I apologize ahead of time!)

As soon as the warriors began to enter the camp the medicine cat noticed how the crowd seemed to thicken. His mis-matched gaze narrowed and his white pelt prickled uncomfortably. He hated being surrounded by so many cats, he could not watch them all and who knew which one would attempt to strike at him first. His claws dug into the ground and he spoke up, his voice icy, yet filled with authority"If you are not our leader, our deputy, one of my volunteers or one of the wounded cats you can shove off right now... These cats are my patients and I will not have you all staring around gawking at them! You all have duties to perform go do them, these cats can tell you of their adventure after I have seen to them, not before!" His gaze went to those who had appeared to gaze at them all, he moved towards Lionessfang, his tail twitching he examined her wounds and spoke gruffly"Someone tried very hard to make sure you were hurt Lionessfang... Hold still..." With that he began applying herbs to her wounds, despite his gruffness he was gentle as he applied herbs to her wounds before wrapping them in cobwebs.

He worked quickly before finishing and saying"You will be sore for a few days, take it easy for the rest of today and tomorrow... After that start easing yourself back into duties, don't start with anything to strenuous..." With the she-cat done he turned to head towards Echovalor, it was then Stonestar called to him and he flicked his white tail with irritation, he was trying to see to those with more serious looking wounds before those without. By chance he saw a certain she-cat in the corner of his lime, green gaze and called out"Ashpool, could you see if you could find something for shock in among my stockpiles and see that Icepaw is unhurt..." Silently he added to himself I will check her over myself when you are done... He made sure the other cat saw that in both his eyes, the blind and the unblind, he would not have his authority undermined. He just had more seriously wounded cats than Icepaw to tend to first. With that said he turned back to Echovalor and saw one of the wounded cats attempting to leave, Crowheart. The stubborn fool... He thought grumpily before snarling"Someone get that fool Crowheart back here and tell him if he does not wait until after I have treated to walk off all sorry for himself I will make it so he cannot walk off!" He noticed Ashpool went after the tom and he decided if she did not manage to reel him back to the camp the rouge would learn what it felt like to piss off a medicine cat.

He returned to treating Echovalor, applying herbs to her wounds and ignoring her scowl, or how she winced with pain as the herbs made her cuts sting. As he applied herbs to the she-cat's wounds he caught sight of his siblings applying herbs to some of the others and with a small nod he began binding Echovalor's wounds with cobwebs. Before saying"You will also need to take it easy, though you are not wounded so badly as your sister... You should also forget duties for today and return to them slowly tomorrow..." At his words Echovalor looked like she wanted to argue, but he gave her no chance to as he padded away and approached Frecklewhisker. He looked her over, inspecting her wounds, before licking it clean and applying his herbs to them, hoping they would soothe them, as well as stop any infection. That done he began wrapping the wounds in cobwebs and called out"Have they fetched Crowheart back yet? Or do we need a patrol to go out and drag him back screaming by his tail?" At his words the voices in his head began to grow louder and he growled an idle warning to them, muttering"I am still working!" In a scolding tone. He finished wrapping up Frecklewhisker's wounds and spoke"Take it easy the next few days, I don't care if your deputy or not... I want no stupid stunts from you!" He turned away from her, his gaze seeking Crowheart, he wanted to be the one to see to the rouge turned warrior mainly to tell him how much of an idiot he was to try to leave without letting him see to his wounds. He would shortly discover why when ordered to see a medicine cat he saw that medicine cat. His white tail flicked, while his four black paws twitched and he called"Right where is Crowheart? It is his turn!"

Riptide

(ooc) Hey Fleet, you can just make up some injuries for Crowheart since I forgot exactly what happened to him. xD He won't be as bad off as the others because he is more familiar with rouge fighting. I think his ear got shredded maybe??


He smelled their scent. Cloversplash and Tempestpaw--- no. Not quite. But so achingly familiar. Ashsong, who had acted as deputy while he and the rest of the patrol had been away, had followed him. He watched the hunting patrol speed past him out of the camp. They ran in a  perfectly formed group, joking and carrying on with a comfort and trust he had never known and never felt from his Clanmates.

"I'm fine. Besides, I highly doubt my presence will be welcomed at any feast. Least of all by the very cats I have spent the last several days with and risked my life for."

The venom in his voice surprised him, especially to a warrior far above his own standing. He turned his head to gaze back at the little apprentices huddled next to one another. They were his family, about as close as he could get in the Clan, and the kits of his benefactor and only confidant. He did not regret going on the patrol.
He regretted that his actions, words, and very being were never enough.

"Right where is Crowheart? It is his turn!"

The scruffy black tom sighed. He blinked his light gray-blue eyes for a moment. He knew Riptide meant well, but having already angered the medicine cat by trying to wander off, he considered just continuing on his way.
But . . . Ashsong had come after him. On Riptide's orders, or so it had sounded, but the gesture was there. If she really hated him, she wouldn't have obeyed.

" . . . . fine . . ."

Crowheart

Her mentor was coming. The tiny snow-white apprentice shrank back into her mother's chest, cowering away from Darkwing. She knew he was coming to tell her off for being out of camp alone. She would never be a warrior. She would likely spend her life cleaning the dirt-place at this rate.

But I would deserve it,

Icepaw reminded herself sadly. She knew the high standards of Clan life, and the even higher standards she had set for herself. After so many days without food, water, or safety though, she just could not take another moment of negativity.
She dimly saw her mother shot Darkwing a warning glare, as if the leader had read her mind. Icepaw nuzzled Stormpaw's hind leg, trying to take in more SkyClan scent again.

"Thanks . . ."

she mewed hoarsely to her sister, the first word she had spoken since her rescue.
Her stomach roared, punctuating the turmoil in her head.

Frecklewhsiker;


her blue orbs watched as they neared camp that faintbark had come back out helping his once apprentice frecklehiwsker smiled at that she noted reflectionlake and frecklewhisker narrowed her gaze to the white she-cat. who went to her sister echovalor. frecklewhisker watched her in silence. but now wasn't the time to be kitty about her. she looked to faintbark whom smiled that reflectionlake had followed without question to him what so ever. frecklewhisker ducked her head as she walked into camp. cats starred at the wounded some grabbed out their wondering what was happening. frecklewhisker focused. at her own orders that cats be seen to first. blinking she kept that in mind. as the group stopped in the center of the camp.

frecklewhisker sat down with a huff. breathign at last. Her ear flciked forward seeing stonestar barge forward to her kits frecklwhsiker smiled dryly they were back at camp safe and sound. frecklewhisker looked down to icepaw and smiled seeing the young one maybe in some shock, she looked to young stormpaw her orbs looking to stonestar in thought. stormpaw looked up to her mother smiling. and then to her sister smiling. stormpaw had been very helpful on this trip. her ears flicked to a cat beside her who dipped her head to her. it was ashsong who mewed to the young she-cat had acted as deputy at her leave. freckelwhisker mewed dryly " it's good to be back ashsong. thanks for stepping up in my place. " ashsong didn't hang around as she went fro crowheart who was about to walk out of camp. frecklewhiskers orbs narrowed.. the tom was beginning to be more and more suspicious to her.



Frecklehwiskers ears flicked to riptides commands. and smiled the young tom had old in his pelt but frecklewhisker couldn't help but notice the young tom had changed so much since that day she found him unconscious at the cliff she thought he was going to jump. and ever since then the young one had not been the same. The young tom went lionessfang first and freckle relazed her once before apprentice was getting treated for her badly wounded legs. freckelwhisker was very impressed with her group and how they all performed. faintbark stood apart from them all giving lionessfang some space. and riptide room to work. her ears flicked to heatherkit that ran up to her. frecklewhisker flicked her ears the young one was soon o be a apprentice very soon. every cat thought heatherkit had been hers. but in truth frecklehwisker had adopted the young cat. though all cats in the clan freckelwhsiker did not want to reveal the kits father. she decided it was no cats business. her tail flicked over the young kit who looked at her wide eyed half worried. she murmured " im fine young one. as a warrior you have to be strong like mother ok?" the young kit took a gulp and nodded, frecklewhisker used her tail to push the other in the direction of the other kits mewkit and hunterkit. and marvelkit. reflectionlakes charges.

she turned her attention to echovalor who now was being worked on frecklewhisker smiled at her friend, listening to riptides firm words. telling her that today she must not do anything and tomorrow ease back into her chores slowly. frecklewhisker duly noted his words. as the tom approached her. frecklewhisker smiled warmly to the young tom. as he licked her wounds. and gave them a clean she too like echo winced at the sting of the herbs but she sat there none the less. as the tom began to wrap her bigger wounds from that stoneclanner she laughed at riptides about crowheart. though she would maybe speak to the tom later. then riptide addressed her firmly telling her to take her duties easy the next couple of days frecklewhisker nodded as she brightly chirped. " aw come on riptide like i would do stupid stunts." she watched the tom walked off. shaking her calico head she rose to her paws. there was still business to attend to. she went to echovalor looking at her friend as she mewed " please go make another patrol with cats not they have not been on our patrol. and tell them to mark the scent lines and to check everything. i want to make sure those loners don't come back. " her blue orbs clouded with other thoughts as she backed away from her freind and moved to stonestar. she looked down to the young kits. as she swallowed in her thoughts. she heard icepaw saying thanks to her sister and stormpaw hugged her sister more.


frecklewhisker took this moment to speak to stonestar. " stonestar.." she dipped her head. " ..we need to talk in your den.. " she blinked to her leader showing that it was something of dire need she walked past stonestar giving stonestar the nudge sheneeded to let her kits breath for a moment. as she mewed again " we have learnt some interesting things...and i have choosen.. " at that frecklewhisker waited for her leader to lead the way to her den. stormpaw looked to her sister as she let go of her hug. looking to her mother hoping she would go with frecklewhisker and let her and her sister breath. she looked to icepaw as she put her paw on her head." i wonder if riptide has something for a sore head?" as she half smiled at her sister.
