Tail Held Erect And Sweeping Slowly From Side To Side:"Retreat silently."
Tail Pointing Low, Parallel To Ground, And Sweeping: "Spread out."
Tail Flattened: "Get down."
Tail Bobbing: "Enemy sighted."
Tail Hooked: "Danger."
Tail Pointed Sharply: "Go that way."
Tail Held Erect And Waving From Side To Side: "Stay behind me."
Tail Kinked Over Back: "Follow me."

Thunderclan
Here you will find ThunderClan's Clan sayings, catspeak, games and their unique fighting techniques: ThunderClan are aces at fighting in dense undergrowth.
Clan Sayings
Fox-heart: A fox is often described as sly and cunning. This can be used as an insult or to indicate the cat is a betrayer, who is sly, or a liar.
Fox-dung: An insult; stronger offence than mouse-brain.
Crowfood: Means rotting food, can also be an insult meaning the cat smells like crow-food, or is acting rotten as crow-food.
Mouse-dung: An insult; stronger than mousebrain, but less offensive than fox-dung.
Mousebrain: It means not very smart. Mainly used as a insult.
Badger-paws: This is also used as an insult indicating the cat lacks stealth or is clumsy.
Squirrel-paws: This can be taken either as a complement (meaning a cat is quick pawed) or as an insult (meaning they are too quick to jump into things without thinking, impulsive).
Skunk-pelt: This is used as an insult referencing to a cat's particular scent. Similar to crow-food but a bit more offensive.
Games
Mossball: It is a small clump of soft moss packed together and made into a small ball to roll around. Most Clans use this game to entertain their kits.
Badger-Attack: This game is enjoyed by kits, and can be called anything from Fox-Attack, to Snake-Attack, to Clan-Attack. This is a game mostly for kits to use their imagination of what being a warrior defending their camp would be like. Badger-Attack is the most played version of the game as ThunderClan has had their fair share of attacks from these forest dwellers.
Attain The Acorn: A game that requires and even number of kits, apprentices, or even warriors who are game enough to play. It's like football. Split into two teams, and have an acorn in the middle. Set what the goals are (eg, a goal between two trees while the other goal is a curve in a small line of bushes). The Sandy Hollow is an ideal space for this game thanks to the sandy ground. The aim of the game is to get the acorn into the other team's goal a certain amount of times. The team with the most goals wins! Each game often has its own modified rules, and can become quite competitive!
Float The Feather: The idea of this game is all the kits who are playing have a single feather each, which they throw into the air upon that start of the game. Using only blowing puffs of air underneath their feather, they must keep it in the air as long as possible. The last kit who has kept the feather in the air the longest is the winner.
Special Fighting Techniques
Forest Attack: This is ThunderClan's secret of keeping the element of surprise. 1. Move quietly and communicate with signals. Cracking twigs, startled birds, and rustling bracken will tell the enemy exactly where you are.
2. Keep downwind of the trespassers so that your scent doesn't give you away.
3. Look for freshly broken twigs, over-turned leaves on the forest floor, remains of prey, or a clump of fur caught on a bramble. Any animal that moves through the forest leaves signs that it has passed by- and signs like this could lead you straight to the invaders.
4.Keep your mouth open to search for unfamiliar scents. Be careful; if there is scent when there is no breeze to carry it through the forest, it could mean that your enemy is very close by.
5. Light-colored pelts are easily seen against brown and green foliage; so stay in the thickest cover. Keep low- the enemy will be looking for movement at normal head height, not close to the ground.
6. Never miss an opportunity to perfect your tracking ability. In the nursery, kits sneak up on their mothers and pounce with their moss-soft paws. Apprentices leap out on one another from behind bushes and stumps. These are more than just games. One day, these skills could save your life and defend your Clan.
Lightning Strike: ThunderClanners love this move as only they use it. Say a patrol is in the area. You crouch down to the ground like you are stalking prey, keeping yourself as low as you can. ( Treat the patrol as if they were your prey.) You sneak up as close as you can to the patrol once it has been spotted, until you can almost touch them. (Usually you will not be alone, you would be with your own patrol.)
Once your patrol leader gives the silent tail signal, you pounce, attacking the closest cat with whatever move you know. After the first attack, the patrol leader gives the word and the patrol retreats back into the trees. The enemy thinks you have given up, but you don't run far. Staying quiet and watchful, wait until the other patrol relaxes and is no longer expecting your patrol to attack again. As everyone says lightning does not strike twice in the same place, but this attack does. As soon as the enemy drops their guard, you attack again, using the same formation and the same attacks until you drive them back running back to their Clan.
Double Lightning Strike: This is another great ThunderClan ambushing/battle tactic. This is used if your enemy has a larger patrol than your own. You follow as the above listing says, but on the second time attacking you split up your patrol and attack at both sides. Even attack from behind the patrol. You must be quick so the cats cannot recognize your scent. A good hint is to scuff up dust in the enemy's eyes so they cannot see you and identify you. At the same time yell out random names of other cats in your Clan to one another, making the enemy patrol think that your whole Clan is there attacking them. With enough force you will drive off the threat, leaving them thinking they had been beaten by a whole Clan when it was really only a of couple cats.
Slashing The Ears: This is an old cunning ThunderClan secret. In battle always scratch your enemy's ears because they will bleed more than anywhere else, and will make it look as if the invaders are hurt more than they really are... Cunning aye?

Clan Sayings
Frog Dirt: This term is used in a way as saying "AS IF!", saying it is a lie.
Fishguts: This term can be used in a couple of ways, such as saying it's a lie, or as an insult to a cat saying they look like fish guts, or smell like fish guts.
Frogbrain: This means not very smart.
Frogdung: This is a stronger insult.
Snake-heart: This means they are accusing the said cat to be a liar, double-crossers or cunning, sneaky and sly like a snake.
Fishbrain: This is slightly more insulting than frogbrain.
Pebble-brain: This is the most rude insult you could say to a cat; it means they are brainless like a pebble, or empty, thick-headed; just a useless empty pelt.
Otter-paws: This is a great compliment, otters are known as quick footed creatures and stealthy, and this is usually applied in praise to a gifted swimmer.
Games
Moss-Ball: It is a small clump of ball clumped together and made into a small ball to roll around. Most clans use this game to entertain the kits mostly.
Fish Stories: This is a slight a game more like a elder or a warrior, to entertain kit and apprentices using un-eaten fish heads a cat will use them like a puppets and tell a fish story of a battle with another clan or tell the young ones a lesson about a warrior learning something important. this is great including if it is a stormy day.
Minnows- Catch: Since kits are not allowed to leave the camp until they are six moons old they can get old of some of the games that can be played. Riverclan is surrounded by reeds and water streams joining to the fast moving river. when kits are accompanied by a warrior they are allowed to try to catch minnows it helps teach the young ones to hunt around water at a very early stage.
Pick The Pebble: This game is for any cat of any moon age. basically there are three shells and under on of them is a small pebble the cat mixes the shells along the ground and stops then one cat chooses a shell thinking that one they have picked will have the pebble under it it is a 50/50 chance they are right. kits play this game for fun though some apprentices or even warriors play this game to wager jobs.
Special Fighting Techniques
Double-Front-Paw Slap-Down: Splashes water into the face of the enemy.
Underwater Leg Sweep (Front Or hind): The opponents will not see it coming under the water so won't have a chance to brace himself before losing his balance.
Push-Down and Release: Almost all non-riverclan cats panic if they are submerged, while riverclan cats know how to hold their breath underwater. This move can be used to secure a decisive victory, because it's most likely to make the opponent surrender.
Underwater Clinch: Uses warrior's weight to hold the opponent below the surface, with a firm grip that enables the warrior to bring his enemy spluttering back to the surface before forcing him under again.
Tail Splash: Temporaily blinds opponent by flicking water in his eyes.
Underwater Push-Off: Crouching and erupting out of the water into opponent, using surprise and impact to knock him off balance.
Rushpaw Splash: Using noise of water splashed at a distance to create a decoy, leaving opportunity for a surprise attack.

Shadowclan
Here you will find Shadowclans Clan Sayings/Catspeak, Games and their unique Fighting Techniques, Shadowclans night ambushes you never know your being ambushes until they attack. They were the first clan to invent the silent tail signals.
Clan Sayings
Spill The Lizards Innards: This means telling another cat everything they know. (ex. "you don't you spill the lizards innards and tell them where our nest is crowpaw.")
Lizard-Brain: It means not very smart. Mainly used as a insult.
Lizard-Dung: An insult; stronger than mouse brain, but less offensive than Lizard-brain.
Feather-Brained: This a stronger insult than lizard-dung it means a cats brain is light and useless as a feather.
Snake-Heart: This is a insult and can be used to describe a cat as a cold hearted cat, a backstabber, lairs, not trustworthy a cat who only cares for them selves.
Owl-Eyes: This can be taken as a complement to a shadowclan cat saying that they have great eye-sight in the night.
Rat-Pelt: This is a insult; it refers to the cats pelt smelling, or not cleaned it looks like the other cat takes no pride in their appearance.
Owl-Dirt: This is a statement saying (AS IF) that, that comment was all lies, made up.
Games
Moss-Ball: Its a small clump of ball clumped together and made into a small ball to roll around. Most clans use this game to entertain the kits mostly.
Frog-Hop: This game can be played by kits and apprentices by how many you like. one cat will crouch into a ball while the others jump over it and 'rib-bit' like a frog then crouch in front of the other leaving a small space for a cat to land in-between the next leap. the kits see how long they can do this before one of them messes up.
Hide-And-Seek: Since Shadowclanners are ment to be stalkers of then night the kits play games to see who can hide the best and can't be found. the young kits usually play with all of them hiding and have one seeker or one hides and the others at as a patrol finding a invader.
How Many Moons Is It Mr.Lizard?: Most kits play similar games trying to pounce on one and another this came is a little different one kit pretends to be a lizard he sits a fair distance away. All the other kits sit in a row behind the lizard. They all ask 'HOW MANY MOONS IS IT MR.LIZARD?' Then the kit that is the lizard can say 3 moons, are 8 moons, basically 1 to 12 moons. Once the lizard has said how many moons, the kits all take the steps. The lizard will do this a couple times each time the line of kits will get closer and closer when the lizard thinks they are close enough the kits will ask again, and the kit who was being the lizard will turn around mewing " IT'S PREY TIME!" and will chase the kits which ever kit is caught first will be the next MR.LIAZARD.
Special Fighting Techniques
Attacking At Night: There is a reason shadowclan are called that. they like hunting mostly at night but when they want to attack they prefer to attack at the night for their pelts are mostly dark and their eyes can see more during the night more than any other cats.
Night-Ambushing: Shadowclan cats use dipping gully's or anything similar to trap invaders on their territory this works greater at night. at night they have a attack patrol and a warning patrol. The warning patrol that is made up of two cats that silently keep track of the invaders, when the invader get into a right spot the send a waning this warning could be a sound of a owl, but always use the sound of the wind no invading cats know this tactic. The attacking patrol would quietly spread out, along the top hiding their bodies away from the moon. The leader gives the first signal a couple cats block both ends of the invaders escape route. Then the cats on both sides then come down for a attack, using the fall down to add to their first blow. Holding the attack lines and when the leader gives the order you fight you fight until the invading enemy surrenders.
Melting Into The Darkness: After attacking a enemy in pure darkness and the battle is won shadowclan cats have a tactic, the let their beaten foe leave and wait until they are out of the way before they head for the closest shadow, making no sound, they melt back into the darkness. It is so if the enemy looks back they will see nothing and will have a nerve edge wondering if the shadowclan cat have left or are still their. (it makes the beaten enemy pelt prickle)

Windclan

Clan Sayings
Hare Brained: A mild insult. Indicating a cat that acts or thinks like a hare in flight, zig-zagging uncontrolled all over the place. Often used by weary mentors to describe unfocused or distracted apprentices.
Fox-Dung: An insult; stronger offense than mouse-brain.
Dog-Heart: this is a insult most dogs will chase cats bite and hurt them they are very common on windclan. This insult is referring to them being cruel to others or being less liked by their clan mate.
Sheep-Brain: This is a insult stronger than hare-brained it means they are light hearted cats that eat all day and having nothing in their brains.
Rabbit-Pelt: This is a complement an also a insult.
Rabbits-Foot: This is a compliment we all know the tradition of lucky rabbits foot, well in the clans it means 'lucky cat'.
Hare-ears: This is also a compliment meaning the cat has extra good hearing.
Fast-Paws: it means a speedy cat a compliment.
Games
Moss-Ball: Its a small clump of ball clumped together and made into a small ball to roll around. Most clans use this game to entertain the kits mostly.
Rabbit-Rabbit-FOX!: An all-time favorite of the speedy Clan, used to help sharpen skills in swift turns, and for just having fun! The youngsters sit down in a large circle, while one walks around it, slapping the heads of the others with the tip of his tail as he goes past, calling out "Rabbit" each time he does so. He will then chose one sitting cat to be the fox, calling out "FOX!" as he taps her, racing around the circle to get away from the chosen fox, who gets up and chases him. The chased cat is safe once he steals back the "fox's" original seat. The "fox" then continues the game. If the "fox" catches the chased cat, the fox returns to their place in the circle, and the chased cat must begin the round again.
Fox-Attack:As the title says any number of kits will play this game kits pretending to be warriors of windclan, and they pretend battle with a fox there could be one fox, up to 2 to 3 foxes in a game (or a warrior will play and be the scary fox).. This game is played often due to fox attacks happen to windlcan alot being on the open moors.
Three-Paws Race: pretty much like the human three legged race. Kits will tie vine, thin flexable branches to their feet. usually they pair up, and tie one paw with the other, and will race a certain distance whoever gets there first that pair is the winner. Be careful though some kits have been known to run into the prey-pile.
Special Fighting Techniques
Running: Most cats take running, running away is a weak sign that a cat gives up. but to windclan that is exactly the opposite. Running is windclan best ability they have fast reflexes great at dodging strikes. Their fast and long legs movements enable them to trip over an enemy. Windclan also use their fast legs to run from their attackers leading them to trip into a rabbit hole or fall and trip down a hilly moor slope, instantly giving the windclans the opportunity to take back control of the battle.
Tunnels: Windclan cats of old use to use the rabbit tunnels as a escape route from a enemy, to chase their prey. Tunnels are all over the Windclan territory and some lead to the border edges and attack cats or even spring out onto invading patrols.
Approach From Above Your Ememy: The advantage of gaining the higher ground is that you can change at greater speed at the enemy, who will be weakened by having to fight uphill.
Use The Light From The Sun: The sun should be behind you to dazzle the enemy. In greenleaf, the midday sun is especially bright and cruel to cats who are used to skulking under the cover of trees. In leaf-bare, the low sun hovers around the eye line like a troublesome bee; Keep your enemies facing it, and they'll have trouble seeing an attack from any direction.
Know Where The Wind Is Coming From: If there is a strong wind, it should blow from behind you toward the enemy, blinding them with dust and holding them back like the current of a river, If you wish to preserve the element of surprise, the wind should blow from the enemy position toward you so that your scent is carried away from them.
Conceal The Size Of Your Force: The number of cats in your battle patrols can be hidden to confuse the enemy from a distance. Cats packed tightly together will appear as a small attacking force, encouraging the enemy to be over confident and make poor strategic decisions. Alternatively, if cats are spread out single file, they will look like a solid border of warriors, which will seem impenetrable to an advancing enemy.
Attack Both Ends Of The Ememy Line First: If both ends of the enemy's line are defeated, the cats in the center of the line will have to fight on two fronts. Even if they are not outnumbered, they will be outflanked, vulnerable, and in disarray.
Keep Fresh Warriors In Reserve: Always have adequate reserves of fresh, fit warriors behind the battle line. They will be able to replace injured warriors, launch a separate attack if the enemy tries to encircle your forces, or fend off a surprise enemy from the rear. If the battle is in your favor, finish it by sending your reserve warriors behind the enemy line to surround them and demand surrender.
Feigned Retreat And Ambush: A group of strong cats charges at the enemy, screeching, then turns around and withdraws. Repeat this until the infuriated enemy finally breaks it's line and gives chase. Then the trap is sprung. Other warriors positioned in rabbit holes and in dips in the ground-out of the enemies eye line- attack as soon as your opponents have gone past. The enemy will be forced to stop and turn around to fight this unexpected threat, and as they do the retreating cats must turn and charge back at them at full speed. The enemy is caught between two bodies of attacking cats and will quickly surrender.

Other Animals
It is known that in the clans lands the clan cats are not the only ones residing as predators, and there is always some animal coming or going from the area time to time. In this post you will see what clan cats may come across with a breif description and how clan cats should interact. Animals here are either to hunt, fight, fear and respect.
Foxes
Russet-red fur, bushy tails, Sharp teeth, and pointed noses.Look a bit like dogs.Live in den, often in sandy ground hidden by undergrowth.Live alone or with their cubs.Mean, suspicious, and hostile, they don't eat cats, but they will kill for pleasure and not just for prey. They hunt mostly at night and have a strong and unpleasant smell.
Badgers
Large, with short black fur and a white stripe down their long, pointed muzzles.Small, beady eyes, powerful shoulders, and sharp claws. Live in either caves or sets, which are tunnels underground, bushes, or tree roots.Live alone or with their kits and have a very distinctive smell. Badgers sometimes prey on young cat kits. Can trample their victims with enormous paws or deliver a deadly bite.Have tremendously powerful jaws that make it nearly impossible to escape their grip.
There is a ancient story that there was once a badger who could speak cat and fox and could communicate with starclan, but most cats believe that is a tall tale... or is it?
Dogs
Size varies from that of a kit to a pony.Fur can be long or short, white, brown, black, gray or a mix. Can have pointy or flat noses, droopy or sharp ears. Make loud, angry noises and love chasing cats. Live mostly in twoleg nests or barns. Wild dogs might sleep anywhere, packs sometimes may home themselves in caves. Loud, fast, and sharp-toothed. Many dogs seem to be devoted to their twolegs and are seen only in twoleg company. There is a theory that most dogs are too dim-witted to be truly dangerous. Packs of dogs are always to be feared.
Birds Of Prey
Winged predators with hooked beaks and sharp, curving talons, these include hawks, eagles, falcons, and owls. Nest in hollows or branches of trees, or on the ledges of cliffs. Extremely sharp vision for spotting prey from a distance. Hawks and eagles are daytime hunters: owls hunt at night. They swoop down from the sky to carry off prey, which includes kits. The tribe of rushing water have developed clever way to hunt these birds.
Horses| Sheep| Cows
Four-legged farm creatures. Horses are tall and swift with flowing manes and tails and giant, pounding hooves. Sheep look like fluffy white clouds dotted across a green field. Cows can be black and white or brown, and their hooves are to be avoided. Live in large fenced fields and sometimes hay-filled twoleg barns. Mostly harmless. However, take caution passing through their fields. A galloping horse or stampeding herd of cows would trample a cat without even noticing.
Rats
Brown-furred and beady-eyed rodents, with long, naked tails and sharp front teeth. Not much bigger than kits.Live in garbage dumps anywhere they can scavenge twoleg food. Live and travel in packs. Individually they pose no threat to cats, but if their numbers are often overwhelming, and bites can cause infection.A single rat is known to contaminate a whole clan, if able to.
